Yao Yao Research Assistant

I am an assistant research scientist in the Peng Lab, where my work focuses on human spinal cord organoids, spinal cord injury repair, and motor neuron disorders. I develop and apply stem-cell–based models to recapitulate rostrocaudal and segmental spinal identities, engineer NMP-derived and segment-matched cell preparations for targeted transplantation.
